This material is created for teachers designing their Circular economy business courses. The material consists of power point lecture slides and assignment guidelines related to collecting and recycling which are crucial elements in the Circular economy. The assignments can be implemented in small teams.
After studying this course student understands terminology related to collecting and recycling, role of collecting and recycling in the circular economy, typical packaging materials recycled in European Union, the recycling process and stakeholders in the process, current challenges in recycling and recycling companies.
This material is a part of the project funded by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture “Circular Economy knowledge for Universities of Applied Sciences” (2018-2020). 19 Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences were participating to the project.
