In this episode, we explore the unique challenges and solutions in sustainable organizing during times of crisis, with a focus on the collaborative achievement of the Gullkrona project. Through interviews with project manager Anna Klemelä and insights from our team—Tea, Ebba, Tim, and Jalmari—we uncover the intricacies of marine biodiversity protection and the significant role of individual and collective action in safeguarding our natural heritage.
Join us as we navigate the significance of the Baltic Sea, the second largest brackish water habitat in the world, and the pioneering efforts to protect its marine life through the establishment of private conservation areas. This enlightening discussion not only sheds light on the importance of marine conservation but also serves as a testament to the power of community engagement and the impact of sustainable practices on our environment. This podcast was produced as a final group assignment in the course Sustainable Organising in Times of Crisis at Hanken School of Economics in the spring of 2024.
