The purpose of the thesis was make traffic of Konecranes Hyvinkää more safety and fluent. Traffic was felt bad and dangerous. Especially bicycle and pedestrian was regarded badly organized. This thesis was commissioned by Konecranes Oyj.

Thesis made by untangling present situation of traffic. Proposal for improve-ment were made by untangling present situation. The disquisition was made by visiting in the factory area, interviews and becoming acquainted with existing documents. For example a site plan has been used in developing of parking areas. The disquisition has made with literature of traffic.

During the thesis it was wound out that traffic systems weren’t good enough. Improved wound for every sector of traffic. For example traffic signs were invalid and partly illogical. The parking areas were also badly organized and their locations needed to improve.

Part of proposal were made during of the thesis, but lot of be left to. For example arrangement of bicycle and pedestrian were improved by crosswalks and traffic signs.

With the thesis is easy to devise and keep up the traffic of factory area now and in the future.
