Subject of this thesis has been given from some hospitals oncology clinic. They miss for a clear description of the patient’s clinical pathway of breast cancer in their territory. The aim of this study was set produce information that nurses can take advantage of the oncology clinic implement patient education. The purpose was to describe as clearly as possible women with breast cancer treatment path from finding to control. However from the work we left out of the radiotherapy unit.

Existing studies were the basis of the work. The research method used in qualitative research methods. The study was conducted by interviewing nurses in different stages of the pathway. We interview also the oncologist. From the received information were figurative where treatment path-way will be clearly displayed.

In general, a woman finds herself change from chest or change are found in mass screening mammography. After this woman has further studies, which includes mammography and ultrasound. From the breast is taken thin-needle sample and it goes to a pathologist to examine. The tumor operated, removing, either part of the breast or the whole breast. After the treatments begins five year control.

In the future, could make a thesis on the breast cancer patient's psychological well-being, as well as radiation therapy.
