First aid skills are needed in everyday life. The skills aren’t important only to the health care workers, but also to other people. The purpose of this practice based Bachelor’s thesis was to guide the members of Janakkalan koirakerho ry to give first aid among agility sports. To give first aid in case of a sprained ankle, ruptured muscle, fracture or wound, a task chart of first aid was developed to support it.

The applicant of this Bachelor’s thesis was Janakkalan koirakerho ry. It is a registered association which offers training to its members and their dogs. It also organizes different kinds of official and unofficial tests and competitions to other people and their dogs.

Contents of the task chart were based on the theoretical context of the written report. The contents of both the report and the task chart were limited to the accidents that might happen among the agility sports. The theoretical content of this thesis was collected from the internet, literature and magazines. The author’s own knowledge was also used as a source.

Feedback about the necessity of the task chart was collected by a feedback form. The members who gave the feedback regarded that the task chart is necessary because agility is a growing sports where quite a lot of small accidents happen. Based on the feedback, it can be assumed that the task chart will be used when necessary.
