The aim of this thesis was to develop plaster treatment teaching at Tavastia Vocational College and to observe whether this is carried out by using the PBL- Problem Based Learning -method. The data was collected from Sep-tember 2014 to November 2014 at Tavastia Vocational College in Hämeenlinna. The objective was to observe the realization of the Problem Based Learning model from teaching point of view. The theoretical basis consisted of knowledge of plaster treatment, of teaching and learning skills, of PBL, of patient safety and of quality.

The thesis is qualitative. The data was collected in two phases.
