The quality of harvesting has not been measured in Evo educational forest. The purpose of this thesis was to clear it up. The teachers can take advantage from the results of the thesis in the harvestings which will be done as a student work later. The thesis shows what is important to notice during harvesting and gives some perspective for the standing sales though there are only three standing sales in this project. The commissioner was Hamk.

In the applied theory of this thesis literature was used. The author´s own views and experience were also used. In the theoretical part the expertise of the professional drivers was also utilized.

In the functional measurement section the post-inventory method developed by Tapio and approved by the Ministry and used by the Forest Centre was used. The material has been collected from the marked stands which are in the area of the educational forest. The marked stands were harvested in the last three years. Markings of harvesting quality are the main results of this thesis.

The results were compared to the measurements which the Forest Centre has done in Häme and Uusimaa.
