We analyse in this study the economic significance of agri-environmental support in different support areas and production lines. We assess the share of basic and additional measures as well as the share of special environmental support of total return, total support and farm income. In addition, we examine some incentive problems relating to high area payments for crops and farmers willingness to establish buffer zones. Our results show that in total return the basic and additional measures support constitutes 8-11% in cereal farms, 3-4% in hog farms, 5-6% in dairy and cattle farms, and 7-8% in horticultural farms. The share of basic and additional measures in farm income is the highest in horticultural and cereal farms. Special environmental support represents 1-5% in total return and 3-23% in farm income in those farms, which participate in special measure support.
