The purpose of this functional thesis work was to organize a health and well-being fair for the elderly people of Pälkäne municipality in March 2018.During the fair a questionnaire was distributed among elderly to find out if they received useful new information about the elderly services provided be municipality of Pälkäne. This thesis was commissioned by the municipality of Pälkäne. The target of this thesis work was to increase the knowledge of the elderly about the services of them and to provide more information and guidance to the elderly living at home to support their everyday life. The goal set for the thesis work was achieved while many elderly people received new information about health and well-being. The importance of cooperation between the municipality, private and third sectors was emphasized. All of the parties are providing mutually supportive service. The key concepts of aging as the knowledge base. These are, for example, what is the health and operational performance of the elderly, well-being and resources, and the third sector. The thesis describes the planning and evaluation done of the fair and the ideas for future development. The visitors of the fair felt that they got a new valuable information to support their well-being and the same time lots of social networking occurred with other people of this same age. There was clear need for this specific type of fair, and planning of the next fair has already started.
