Globaalin vaateliikkeen reklamaatioiden kierrätyksen palvelumallinnus : Mallistoluonnos reklamaatioista

The subject of this thesis is recycling the reclamations of a global clothing store. The reason for this study was that reclamations are not recycled at this moment. Service design was used to implicate how to start the recycling process. Service design models were formed for clothing stores in Finland and specified locally in Hämeenlinna. Besides service models a clothing collection and a concept outfit were designed to show what an individual can make of old clothing instead of throwing them to landfills.

Service design models were formed to show different collaborations with selected partners. The theoretical background for this thesis were studies about service design and circular economy to ensure functionality of the service models. A designer way of concepting was used for the service models, the collection and the concept outfit. Designers use a combination of divergent and convergent thinking in designing. Divergent thinking is about imagination and convergent thinking narrows the ideas down to what is realistic.

The thesis will give knowledge about how to combine service design and circular economy to a useful set of service models regarding how to recycle reclamations. With this thesis the company can start to discuss about the terms of agreement with the chosen collaboration partner or partners. Service models can be used as an inspiration in other countries or companies. The collection and concept outfit will give individuals enthusiasm to recycle old clothing into something new.
