The purpose of this thesis was to create an educational material which contains theory and exercises. The subject of the educational material was partner exploitation and violence in teenage intimate relationships. The thesis was to increase young people´s knowledge of dating violence and make young people think about features of safe relationship. Target group of the educational material were youth of secondary school age. The material was produced for private use for Kanta-Hämeen Perhetyö ry. The theoretical background dealt with youth, violence, safety and violence prevention work and the previous research. The thesis was functional, and it consisted thesis report and educational material. Expert interview was used as a research method. Four experts of violence prevention participated in the interview. The interview was conducted as a theme interview and it was analyzed with thematizing. The contents of the educational material were built on the basis of the themes formed in the expert interviews. The themes of the educational material were related to the forms and consequences of dating violence, protective factors against violence, identifying and intervening violence and emotional skills. The educational material was divided into theory and exercise sections.
