This thesis was carried out as a work motivation study for a company providing accounting firm services. The aim of the work was to find out and compare the results between the offices. The purpose was to highlight the factors that influence employee motivation and to provide site-specific ways to develop work motivation.

The theoretical framework of the thesis consists of concepts and motivation theories that are essentially related to work motivation. According to theories, the emergence of work motivation is influenced by the employee's personality, job characteristics and work environment, around which the empirical part of the work is also built.

The survey was conducted as a quantitative survey of the employees of the target company's four locations. 75% of employees responded to the survey.

The results of the survey provided the client with important information on the factors that affect employee motivation. Based on the responses, the company was given site-specific ways to support and develop the work motivation of its employees.
