This thesis covers the Government ICT Centre Valtori’s transition to the extended remote work model in March 2020 and its effects on personnel management. 985 people participated in a remote work survey conducted within the thesis. The purpose of the survey was to provide information on the remote working at Government ICT Center Valtori for the needs of the human resources department and to provide practical tips and observations for supervisory work. Government ICT Centre Valtori’ s staff have adapted well to remote working and they hope to be able to continue working remotely also in the future. Satisfaction with supervisors is generally good and concrete ways to improve the fluency of remote working have been actively pursued during and before the corona pandemic. The means identified to support supervisory work are strongly based on building trust and information sharing through conscious interaction.
