This Bachelor’s thesis comprises qualitative research into factors leading to flow experience in the field of arts and creative methods. The aim was to find means for facilitators to ease the occurrence of flow in order to produce quality facilitation for customers.

Mihalyi Csíkszentmihályi's studies in the field of psychology were used as the theoretical background to define the concept of the phenomenon of flow. The empiric section consists of five thematic interviews of artists working in the field of visual arts, handicrafts, word arts, music and performing arts, as a means for facilitators of crafts and recreation to use these methods.

The results underscored the fact that circumstances enabling flow are related to environment, materials and equipment, facilitating, skills, mental and physical performance, attunement and riddance.

The facilitator can influence these factors by taking care of the appropriate working environment and providing competent materials and equipment. Team building, motivation and defining individual tasks for customers were also found to be significant. A facilitator can affect the inducing of flow experiences by minimizing distractions and facilitating different types of attunement and concentration techniques.
